We’re one day shy of another review and I’d like to make an announcement about a change in my method.
I mostly review stories I like, but right now there’s no strong distinction between the ones I like and the ones I love besides the language of the review itself. To make the distinction easier to see at first blush, I’ve added the Star symbol to my tool set! From now on, any review designated with a (☆) is of a story that I thoroughly enjoyed. Maybe it was the prose that moved me, or the exciting plot, or some combination of sticky brain goodies that I can’t get out of my head.
So, keep an eye out for that marker.
Oh and before I forget, I applied a few retroactive Stars to previous reviews. They are:
“The Old Dispensation” by Lavie Tidhar (Feb. part 1)
“The Thule Stowaway” by Maria Dahvana Headley (Feb. part 1)
“Word Doll” by Jeffrey Ford (Feb. part 2)
“The Thinker” by George Salis (Mar. part 1)
Happy stargazing!
